Industry of Things World USA East 2018: Beyond the hype

Industry of Things World USA came for the first time to the East coast and the event was a success! More than 150 registered attendees gathered in Orlando to shape the future of the Industrial Internet during 3 event days filled with case studies, networking sessions, an IIoT Bootcamp and World Café sessions.

With keynotes on the benefits and use cases for a truly open IoT platform,  building businesses cases that sell IIoT investments to senior management, boards, investors, and governments, leading ahead of the curve or the challenges of achieving OT/IT convergence from a cyber security perspective, one thing became clear: the Industrial Internet of Things is here to stay. There is still a need for discussion and planning, but most importantly the need for collaboration across job functions and with different stakeholders to maximize the effectiveness of these technologies and tools.
